Vampire themed fanfiction

Not that some of my other fanfics listed under different headings do not have vampires in them, but everything listed here is a fanfic for a fandom that has vampires in them as regular characters.

One of my oldest fanfics, I think with the heaviest tendencies to Sueness, is Growing Up my Lost Boys Fanfiction. I am still not sure about all the plot elements, one of the characters is a request from a fellow fan, some ideas from another friend seemed cool at the time, but seemed a bit extreme to me later on. At any rate, it will be about the boys getting involved with girls, which is not really something Max, the headvampire is very happy about. Which is why I call it Growing Up ... it's about time.

Despite the fact that I do not like the movie all that much, writing Van Helsing fanfiction is something I particularly enjoy. Especially since I began working my way through all the inconsistencies prestented to us in the movie. With all my heart is my version about how Dracula met Verona and made her his bride, which was originally part of Dark Matters. Dark Matters is a longer fanfic project, which begins 180 years after the movie with a weakened Dracula waking up in a pretty much run-down future where Los Angeles is the only city left, with the rest of the world dominated by demons and equally nasty witch-hunters.

Another passion of mine is Marcus, the ancient vampire master who appeared in Season 3 of Poltergeist: The Legacy. Till 2008 he used to be my favourite vampire and just because someone bumped him from No. 1 does not mean I am not totally crazy about him anymore ;) The fanfic I begun is called Night's Temptation and deals with his attempts to ressurect Philipp. In an attempt to try and distract the members of the Legacy from his plans, he himself becomes distracted by the daughter of the vampire expert sent to the San Francisco House.

Choices is an other project that I can not get out of my head, it is based on the movie "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen". First was my disappointment about finding any fanfic that I could remotely enjoy, lots of slash but not my favoured pairing, which is M/Dorian. I also a Mina/Jekyll shipper and not before long I came up with some ideas that developed into a rather complicated plot. Bringing back Lucy Westenra as a character, as well as Dracula, adapted to fit the theme of the movie, who confront the League with their own union of Darkness, which includes M and Dorian, both ressurrected as well ...

That's not all I also got stuck with two sequels to Kindred: The embraced, a tv show that I truly enjoyed and which cancellation I still mourn. I call the project Shadows of the Past, as both plot elements deal with characters from the past, that show up in San Francisco. First story introduces a vampire singer who turns out to be a Brujah and who is looking for the vampire who is responsible for the death of her sire. Much to Cash's fear everything points to Julian. The second storyline deals with a forthcoming Sabbath attack on the city lead by a converted Nosferatu (they seem to have some Tremere features in this show). Daedalus is warned by an old friend who is a magi, who is killed before he can pass on any specific information, leaving only his apprentice behind to help the Camarilla vampires to figure out what to do.

Moonlight is another tv show that was cancelled way before it's time. Especially since my new favourite vampire appeared in this show and lucky as I am only in one episode. I have not found a title for this fanfic project but for the first time I have started a really, really detailed and complex outline of the plot. Whenever I am stuck with long train rides I try to figure out what best to do with all the plot bunnies and ideas. Some scenes that seem great at one point do not fit in the overall plot or I decide to do something else. At any rate it is fun and maybe that will help me with the writing.

If anything sounds interesting to you and you like to beta please contact me directly. I'd appreciate help with grammar, spelling and register and the like, but if you like to help with the flow, pace and plot glitches you are also welcome. Not to mention I really like someone to bounce of ideas, like describing a couple of scenes and knowing before I put work into formulating sentences if it is any good. Of course, you can just drop in and point out one single missing comma, a misspelt word or any other little thing that bothers you. I am grateful for all feedback, even really negative comments.

I really adored how this layout came out - I had started with something different and then I had a hunch and looked at a few Horror of Dracula caps. I think this layout really hints at what I think is important for a good vampire story. The overshadowing hint of Darkness, the thread at night, the short but still gloomy reprive during the days. How Dracula stands in the shadows not fully visible is how I prefer the standing of vampires. Some of my charactesr might know about them - but for the most, they are hidden from the world and everyone who discovers the secret is dragged into a world of darkness.
